Big Brothers Big Sisters Programs Give kids a positive role model.2008-2009 was a great year for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Piedmont with 58,000 hours of volunteer time and 560 children with a one-on-one mentoring experience. Be sure to read the full program report.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America reports that independent research from Public Private Ventures show children in our program are more likey than peers not involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters to: have better school attendance and achievement; avoid negative/illegal behaviors; and have more positive relationships with their families and others.

A study conducted by Harris Interactive found adult alumni of our program are more likely than their peers to: have 4-year college degrees; family incomes of at least $75,000; and are more likely to have strong family relationships.
